Even now, in the twilight of his career, Dennis still gets fired up over the words “Indemnity, Mutual Hold Harmless, Waiver of Subrogation, Primary and Non-Contributory, All Risk and Waiver of Liability”.  Listen to Dennis “unplugged” as he tells you how he really feels about contract wording!

Many municipalities struggle with the application of CDL requirements and driver selection best practices.  We will discuss best practices as they pertain to these two areas as well as the legal implications of not establishing or following these practices.

Municipalities present many opportunities for hackers to access a multitude of records containing Personal Information.  We will discuss some recent hacking scenarios and outcomes.


2-2:30 p.m. - Wisconsin Worker’s Compensation Legislative Update

Presenter: Pete Aisbet, Executive Vice President, Integrated Risk Solutions

Wisconsin has not passed an Agreed Bill since 2014.  Every two years the Wisconsin Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council seeks to negotiate an Agreed Bill which is then acted upon by the State Legislature and ultimately signed into law by the Governor.  We will review some history of the Council’s work and what key legislative issues are being negotiated.

Dennis Tweedale is currently CEO of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities Mutual Insurance Company and has been with the company for the past 17 years.  To say Dennis has been around awhile is an understatement – just shy of 50 years!  He has been in Risk Management with the University of Wisconsin, the City of Madison and 24 years as owner of a risk consulting firm. 

Pete Aisbet is a co-founder of Integrated Risk Solutions and a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, Pete is committed to providing creative risk management and risk financing solutions in the manufacturing, construction, transportation, non-profits and public sectors.  Pete is a 1985 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety.  A 1984 team co-captain, he played center on the UW-W football team.
